In November 2024, Leiria Youth Prison hosted a Coordinators\u2019 Training Course held as part of the M4Pris project. This training course was delivered by Aproximar, Cooperativa de Solidariedade Social, CRL, and implemented in collaboration with the Directorate-General of Reintegration and Prison Services (Dire\u00e7\u00e3o-Geral de Reinser\u00e7\u00e3o e Servi\u00e7os Prisionais, DGRSP) at Lei ria Youth <\/span><\/span>Prison, with the aim of equipping coordinators with the necessary skills and tools to ensure an effective Peer Mentoring Programme for Prison Staff<\/span>.<\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Tr\u00e6ningsgruppen omfattede fagfolk med forskellig baggrund, der repr\u00e6senterede forskellige k\u00f8n, aldre og mange \u00e5rs erfaring inden for f\u00e6ngselssystemet. Disse koordinatorer er ansat af DGRSP i ungdomsf\u00e6ngslet i Leiria, hvor de hver is\u00e6r udfylder unikke roller. I alt 10 fagfolk deltog i sessionerne, ligeligt fordelt mellem 5 m\u00e6nd og 5 kvinder.<\/span>.<\/div><\/div>

Uddannelsen fulgte et blended learning-format (b-learning), der kombinerede asynkrone onlinesessioner med synkrone ansigt-til-ansigt-sessioner. Denne tilgang gjorde det muligt for deltagerne at forst\u00e5 det teoretiske indhold grundigt i deres eget tempo, f\u00f8r de anvendte det i praktiske \u00f8velser under personlige sessioner.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

Under tr\u00e6ningssessionerne blev der anvendt forskellige metoder, herunder pr\u00e6sentationer, debatter, praktiske \u00f8velser, gruppeaktiviteter og rollespil. Dette interaktive milj\u00f8 tilskyndede til aktiv deltagelse og udveksling af erfaringer mell em deltagerne.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

The self-assessment results of the coordinators\u2019 training course provided valuable insights into the improvement of coordinators\u2019 skills across various competences before and after the training. The analysis revealed a significant overall improvement in the coordinators\u2019 competences. With regard to participants\u2019 satisfaction, they praised the trainers for their excellence, noting their ability to capture the trainees\u2019 attention through constant interaction and successful dynamics. One participant remarked, \u201cThe trainers were excellent, they managed to capture the trainees\u2019 attention through constant interaction with the group and successful dynamics<\/i>\u201d. Additionally, the professionalism and commitment were highly appreciated, with a participant expressing, \u201cI congratulate the trainers for their professionalism and commitment to their mission and objectives<\/i>\u201d<\/span>.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
